2016 ICL playoffs schedule announced

The Intercity League has announced its 2016 playoff format and schedule. After two years of a double-elimination format culminating in the best of five championship series, the league will return to a best of three first round, best of five semifinals and best of five championship series format.

Six teams will qualify, with the top two seeds receiving first round byes. Four teams have qualified as of this post and will be, in some order, seeds one through four: Lexington, Andre, Watertown and Reading. Only Arlington has been eliminated from playoff contention. Melrose, Somerville and Wakefield continue to battle for the fifth and sixth seeds.

LSP will broadcast all Lexington Blue Sox playoff games and potentially more depending on the results of the rest of the playoffs.
